Preschool

Faith gives preschool 3 year old and 4 year olds the strongest foundation to begin their academic experience.

Each child is unique – a special gift from God to be cared for, loved and nurtured. Children should grow and learn while having fun! A caring Christian community provides the best atmosphere for a child's early education.

Friends.
— Preschool teachers refer to their students

Faith’s preschool's philosophy focuses on the child. We believe that children learn best through their own discoveries, active co-operative learning, experiment questioning, sharing, speaking, and listening.

As teachers, our role is to make the children's activities as fun and interesting as possible, and then guide the children through these activities – not dictate them. The structured program allows for creative play, freedom to choose activities, and ‘hands on’ learning.  These elements of the program are essential to help guide each child to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Also, through our everyday actions we will be serving as constant Christian role models to the children.

In October, pre-kindergartners enjoy a field trip to a local fire station and in the spring, they visit the local grocery store Publix. They also treat parents to singing performances at the Children’s Christmas Program, Fine Arts Program and show off their gross motor skills at their end of year program.

Our Extended Care program is an option for all students, including pre-kindergarten.

Preschool 3

Children who are three years old before August 31st

Faith believes that development takes place throughout the child’s day.  Whether the child is at preschool or at home, every moment of the day has a purpose.  Our preschool is set up to expose children to a wide variety of learning styles and concepts.  In the classroom, the children learn through structured activities, classroom projects, and self-regulated play with peers.  We strive to foster and encourage each child’s natural progression of development, while exposing them to a language rich environment in the areas of fine motor activities, grow motor activities, art, dramatic play, Bible stories, music and social interactions.

Preschool 4/VPK

Children who are four years old before August 31st

Pre-Kindergarten 4 is designed to offer children the academic and biblical foundations needed to be successful learners.  Academic concepts such as counting, number, letter and writing are introduced using multi-sensory approaches.  As the natural progression of development occurs, we focus on the child’s individual growth and development.  We encourage the children to explore their environment and begin to cultivate their love of learning at an early age.  Our language rich environment supports all learners by stating and demonstrating the expectations for classroom behavior and introduction concepts that will lay the foundation for their school experience.  In the classroom, we nurture and encourage each child’s natural progression.

Faith participates in the free Voluntary PreKindergarten program from the state of Florida. To apply for this program click here.
