Membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an honor bestowed upon eligible students in seventh and eighth grades. Students selected are expected to exhibit the four pillars of the National Junior Honor Society: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. In the fall, the school holds an induction ceremony in the chapel. Throughout the year, the National Junior Honor Society is involved with various service projects. In the past, NJHS has been involved with various school events and raises money for various community organizations or families.
Students raise money to purchase Christmas gifts for families in the community
The Frank Richey Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will be selling Candy Cane Grams beginning Monday, November 28 and running through Monday, December 19. Family members, students, and staff may purchase a Candy Cane Gram, a candy cane with a personal message, to send to students and staff at our school. All Candy Cane Grams will be delivered to the child’s homeroom on December 21.
Price: 50 cents per Candy Cane Gram
Special Offer: $10 to send a Candy Cane Gram to everyone in your child’s class- plus the teacher. What a nice way to make sure no one gets left out! Optional: Fill in only one form to be read aloud to the class with this offer. All order must be turned into the office by December 19. Please mark envelopes with “CANDY CANE GRAM” and turn them into your child’s homeroom teacher or the school office. Please kindly send the exact cash payment with your order form.
